Ski Trip to Hornindal Skisenter

On the 23rd of February, Natura took its members to Hornindal for a day in the outdoor skiing. Due to the very bad weather conditions on saturday at Strandafjellet, we had to postpone the trip to Sunday and move to Hornindal to avoid the high avalanches risks.

As an outdoor organisation open for every levels, we decided to take to this trip beginners and experimented people to give a chance to everyone to spend a day in a ski center. Martina and Amandine, from the board took, the lead for giving ski lessons to beginners. Martina from Austria and Amandine from the French Alps, are coming straight from their moutains and are in love with outdoors.

While some were enjoying the slopes alone, some others made a lot of progress on their skis/snowboards. Natura was very to see how fast people improved theirs skills in just one day! It seemed that the «pizza slice» method from our two mountains girls was quite efficient!

However, besides the good lessons given and the long-time experience for some people, we attended a show of fails, crashes and accidents and that made the day really funny to everyone. No worries, no persons have been injured during this time, just people stuck in the soft powder 😉

Natura is really happy about the day we spent together. Thank you for joining. We hope that this experience will motivates you to go on the slopes again!
